Cylinder Porting

When Re-Do Banshee ports cylinders for customer builds, we trust Redline Racing — Cameron does exceptional work, and the results speak for themselves.

The videos below walk through the difference between stock porting, a quality port job, and a poor one — all on cylinders that came through our shop. As of May 2026, these videos don't yet cover Redline Racing's specific porting options, but they give you a solid visual foundation for understanding what cylinder porting actually does. We plan to add more to the playlist over time.

Keep scrolling past the video for a breakdown of the porting options Redline Racing offers.

Play Port

A strong entry-level option that's built to grow with your build. Redline:

  • Re-angles the intake.
  • Cleans transfer tunnels.
  • Cleans and slightly raises transfer ports.
  • Re-shapes and cleans the exhaust.

This port pairs well with a +4-mil stroker build down the road and typically delivers 60–65HP depending on supporting parts.

Dune Port

This is by far the most popular porting option that Redline Racing does. With this cylinder porting, the engine has a strong pull with no loss in the bottom end. Redline:

  • Raises the intake roof and lowers the floor.
  • Cuts the transfer section of the sleeve with major tunnel re-shaping and angling.
  • Raises transfer ports to the correct duration for the motor setup.
  • Raises and re-shapes the exhaust port and tunnel.

Compatible with stock through +4-mil stroke crankshafts. Expect 65–75HP on stock stroke and 85HP+ with a 4-mil stroke and the right supporting parts.

Drag Port

Built for maximum output. Redline does not recommend pump gas for this setup — race gas or alky (alcohol fuel) keeps the torque curve where it needs to be. Redline:

  • Re-shapes and re-angles the intake.
  • Aggressively re-cuts the transfer area sleeve.
  • Grinds transfer tunnels to re-angle fuel delivery; transfer window cut to specific shape and angles.
  • Raises and re-shapes the exhaust port and opens the exhaust port tunnel.

This setup has been tested at 100HP on stock stroke and up to 117HP on a +7-mil stroke running alky. No welding — so it keeps the "sleeper" look.
