Beth's Purple Monster - No Spark - Completed Feb 2024

Beth's Purple Monster - No Spark - Completed Feb 2024

Let us introduce you to Beth’s Purple Monster. That’s what she calls it.

She brought it to Virgil with no spark. After testing the stator and coil, Virgil found that the coil wasn’t getting a good ground contact with the frame.

This is a good reminder that whenever you get your frames coated, you want to make sure the coil perch is making contact to bare frame.

Virgil removed the coating and then the coil had good spark. Beth ran the bike up and down the street and was pitching it sideways with a huge smile on her face! 😃

Beth: I definitely had a huge smile. Can’t wait to take Purple Monster to the dunes!! Thanks Virgil! He also got me new brake lines ordered and installed.
